Salt Spray Testing and Rust Prevention Grade Knowledge
Neutral salt spray testing follows the domestic standard GB/T10125:2021, which is equivalent to the international standard ISO9227:2017. While the international standard has been updated to 2022, the 2017 standard is still acceptable to customers.
The neutral salt spray test environment contains 5% sodium and other harmful substances. One hour of salt spray testing is equivalent to half a month, and 24 hours is equivalent to one year.
Seawater sodium concentration is 3.5%, lower than that of salt spray testing. Normal water sodium concentration is 0.3%-0.5%.
BAADER's logo on the back of the packaging states that the blade will not rust after 24 hours of seawater exposure. Our salt spray test also shows no rust after 24 hours; we are even more advanced.
The blade's grade is evaluated after 96 hours of testing, according to the standard GB/T6461:2002, which is equivalent to the international standard ISO 10289:1999. The international standard has been updated to 2001, but ISO 1999 is also acceptable.
